Valentine's Day Four Square Writing

Today we began our four square writing about a Hershey Kiss. Then kinders fill in the blanks and draw a picture as a prewriting activity. The next day, they write each sentence on another sheet of paper and voila ... a simple paragraph on a single topic by a kindergartner. Click here for the form.

Groundhog Day

We did many fun activities for Groundhog Day. We graphed our predictions about whether or not the groundhog would see his shadow, we made puppets to go along with stories, we completed several writing prompts, and we made cupcakes to look like the groundhog.
